Friday Poem of the Week: “Write by the Rails”

Friday Poem of the Week: “Write by the Rails”.

This is National Poetry Month and so I’m passing along this poem crafted by a gentleman from my local writing group. I’m so lucky to have found them. Enjoy!

Bake More Cookies

And just what do you do when what you do isn’t enough

To satisfy your thirst for more

To appease the natives scratching at your brain

To lift you

To hold you up and make you

What do you do?Head in Hands

Feel like this?

Stressed to the breaking point? Ah yes, it must be Christmas.

Breath in. Breath out. Bake more cookies.

It’s Just a Dream

It’s just a dream
Trying to hold onto
A better time, a better day
Reaching for a touch that doesn’t exist
A thought of being that might have been
It’s just a dream.
